CTMH Convention ROCKED!

I am back from Dallas, Texas and our annual Close To My Heart Convention.  OMG, all I can say is WOW!  Every year I wonder how they are going to amaze me and every year they totally out-do themselves!!
There are just soooo many wonderful new things to share, I'm not even sure where to begin...

How about with a sneak peak of the newest Idea Book?  You will be able to order out of it beginning on August 1st.  Want a copy of it?  Just let me know and I'll get you one :)
Want to know some of what's inside that new Idea Book?  I just bet you do...how about a brand new, exclusive to CTMH Cricut Artiste Collection!  Yep, you get all this for just $99 - or better yet, book your party in August and use your 1/2 price hostess rewards to purchase it!  Yessiree, Bob!  It could be yours for only $49.50 :)  It has 698 brand new images for you to use.
Do you like Studio J?  Now you are going to like it even more!  Membership fees have gone away and now they make it even faster, simpler, and easier for you.  Try it out for FREE, just click here to get started.  Be sure to let me know if you have any questions at all!

Is organization your thing - or maybe you need some organization...we have just the ticket for you.  You will want to see our brand new organizers and accessory boxes.  They are awesome!

Pigment inks?  WE now have mini pigment ink pads that will be just perfect for decorating your home decor items.  Yes, you heard me correctly, I said Home Decor  Items!  This is right up my alley as I love, love, love to do these types of items.  Just wait till you see what I have to show you!

We also have come out with some brand new alcohol ink based markers that are perfect for coloring in your stamped images.  I can hardly wait to get my hands on these and start playing :)

There is so much more, but I will wait as this post is getting so long.  I'm sorry, but I get so excited I can hardly contain myself :)

Stay tuned for more pictures of new (and old) stuff :)

Happy Scrappin'

He is all Boy

Tyler Tony is the subject of this Studio J layout.  I absolutely fell in love with these pictures of him sleeping on the tractor swing we had given the boys.  It is so sweet, I just knew I had to scrap it :)
In this layout we learned how to:
* Make pleated ribbon out of ribbon tabs
* Rotate a page
* Crop My Stickease images
* Camouflage with a text box
* Change the color intensity of a B&T design

Game Day at Lambeau

Game Day at Lambeau Field in Green Bay was sooo much fun!  I can't wait to go back there and experience it all over again!
In this layout we learned:
* Using a My Stickease image to make a border
* Creating a layered ribbon bow
* Creating striped ribbon using a text box

A Fun Day

A fun day almost a year ago now, but scrapbooking it brought all those memories flooding back.  It really was a fun day...
In this Studio J layout, we learned how to:

* Add a photo mat behind a photo using a journaling box
* Use letters as embellishments
* Add "tabs" of cardstock with journaling boxes
* Create a title using several journaling boxes
* Use a My Stickease image to make a border

Doesn't it sound like we've been learning a lot?  Well, we have.  Some of it is new to me and some of it is just a reminder that I can do so much more with the layouts in Studio J if I so desire.  It is so fast and easy to "fill in the blanks" with Studio J with what they have 'pre-designed' for us, BUT...the sky is the limit if we choose to do so much more!  I love that!

You are Darling

Today's Studio J layout brings you more pictures of my darling Goddaughter, Iris.
In this layout, we learned how to:
* Delete unneeded photo wells
* Use text boxes to cover up portions of the pattern
* Crop My Stickease borders to make ribbon streamers

So fun and easy :)

My nieces are so sweet...

Today's post brings you the first of my Studio J layouts for Convention.  Our annual Close To My Heart Convention is only a few short weeks away and as one of the perks of registering this year, corporate gave us each 5 free layouts to create.  We will receive them when we get to Dallas, Texas.
In this layout, we learned how to:
*Alter the look by changing the colors of B&T papers
* Rotate a page
* Use a vellum text box to lighten a color
* Convert a photo well to a text box
* Create our own embellishments

Want to learn how to do all of this for yourself?  I would be happy to teach you how!

Layouts are so fun and easy to create when you have such fun subjects as my nieces and when you have such an easy program to use as Studio J :)

More Studio J Convention Layouts

I last showed you the Studio J layout I made for our little swap.  Well, here are the layouts I received in return.  They turned out so great!  What fun :)

Here is the layout Rachel created using the Silhouette paper pack.  She chose to use some of our 'food' pics along with a photo from the Awards Banquet night when we were all spiffed up.
And Sheri used a Members Only exclusive paper pack.  How fitting for our 'food' pictures :)  It is all about the food, you know.
Want to know more about Studio J?  Just ask me, I'd be happy to tell you...

Studio J Convention Layout

Check out this Studio J layout I created!  I started out just using a pattern the website has all set up for me...
Then I added this banner of pennants along the bottom.  How, you ask?  Well, it was pretty easy once I figured it out!  I just added text boxes in different colors and played around with which ones were on top of each other.  It was fun =)

I created this layout for myself and then one for each of my girlfriends using their photos on the right hand page.  Studio J made it so simple for me to re-create pages for the other girls.  I just copied the original (it took a maximum of a couple of seconds) and then swapped out the two photos.  It just doesn't get much easier than that.  Then we decided that when we got the layouts back, we would add the "lumpy, bumpy" stuff to them.

Want to learn to do this Studio scrapping for yourself?  Just go to my website and click on the Studio J link OR let me know and we can do a one-on-one or a group class so I can teach you.

Studio J artwork

I was making some Studio J pages a while back and forgot that I never showed you this one (there were more, but since they are part of a swap, I don't want to spoil the surprise and show you those just yet).
This is a super simple layout I made of our little Tyler man and his brother and sister.  So sorry for the glare and as always, just click on the photo to enlarge it.  The paper pack is an exclusive for Studio J members.  It really only took me about 10 minutes to create - and who says they don't have time to scrapbook??

Studio J Vegas album

So now that we just got back from a Vegas trip, I have a whole Studio J album from our last Vegas trip to show you.  I worked on this for really only about 2 weeks (not steady, but here and there).  I will break it up into a few days worth of pictures so as not to overwhelm you.  The first layout is split up in my album so that the left page starts my album out and the right page is the last page of my album to finish it up.

*Remember, you can always click on the photos to view them larger to see the details :)

I will never give up my traditional scrapbooking as I love to work with the paper and embellishments too much, but Studio J is a perfect way to do some quick  catching up, gift albums, or when you need to make more than one copy of a layout.

Click here if you want to try it out for yourself.  It is even FREE to try out!  Let me know how you like it...

Our return to San Juan

Each evening on a cruise when you head back to your cabin at the end of a long day, you are welcomed by a different towel animal each night.  Here are just some of ours.  What fun!
I don't like the last day of the cruise...having to get off the ship.  I just want it to never end, but alas, we must leave and make our way back home.  This year we discovered a fun new thing with Royal Caribbean-for a nominal fee, they will take your checked luggage right to the airport for you so you don't even have to deal with it.  That worked out great for us, as we had some time in San Juan before our plane left.  We were able to do a bunch of exploring without having to worry about our luggage. It was awesome and so totally worth the money!

We toured Old San Juan for a while, shopped a bit, had a drink or two, and then headed to the airport for our return flight home.
Then remember that 2 page layout I created in the beginning?  I used the first page in the front of my album and now I am using the other half for the last page.
Thanks for joining me on this little vacation.  I know I had a good time, and I hope you enjoyed it, too.  I love being able to scrapbook my vacations so I can re-live them each and every time I open the album up.  It is so easy to do now with Studio J, too.  If you need any help, just let me know...
