Some blog awards

Imagine my surprise and delight to come home from this trip and find not one, but two different blog awards on my blog. Thank you to Brenda of Rose Blossom Legacies for this Idyllhours Blog Award. The Idyllhours blog award is the BFF award - Blogger Favorite Friend. How cool is that? Thank you, thank you Brenda from the bottom of my heart. I encourage you to go to Brenda's blog and check it out. She is a very creative person. I am always referring to her artwork to make my own. We missed you in Long Beach, girlfriend! The rules of this award are:
  • accept the award by commenting on the blog of the person that gave it to you
  • pass it on to five others
  • reveal five things you enjoy doing
5 Thing I Enjoy Doing:
  • Creating-just about any paper crafts. Scrapbooking is my passion!
  • Vacationing. I could travel just about anyplace and have a great time.
  • Spending time with family and friends-there is nothing better.
  • Sitting and relaxing with a good book-I just need to find more time in a day to do this more often. (Part of why I love sitting on a beach while on vacation:)
  • Helping other people. I love being able to help out and share my passions.
I also received the Circle of Friends blog award from Dawn of Dawn's Craft Place. Thank you also, Dawn, for thinking of me. You girls have no idea how much this means to me!

Here are the rules:

*Nominate 5 other bloggers you feel have become part of your circle of friends.
*Link to your nominees within your blog post.
*Include these instructions on how to pick up the award in your blog post.
*Link back to the person who gave you the award in your blog post, to show your appreciation.
*Comment on their blogs to let them know they've received the award .

I think this may be considered cheating, just a little bit, but I am going to forward these awards on to the same 5 people for each of them. I wish I had the time to do separate lists, but I just do not-I 'need' to create something soon! Here are the lucky recipients (In no particular order):

Doresa-I enjoyed spending time with you at Leadership. Good luck at making your goal and earning the trip-I know you will make it!

Barb-Thank you so much for creating the adorable album we created at Chocolate University in Long Beach. It is beautiful and useful! (And also for sharing your sniglet's story...I love it!)

Tammy-I am so glad we finally got me meet each other in Long Beach-too bad us Wisconsin girls had to travel all the way to California to meet :)

Antionette-I had the pleasure of meeting Antionette at our convention in Orlando. She is such a fun and creative person!

Nona-Check out Nona's blog to find out about her great news. Congratulations! I did not get a chance to talk to you at Leadership, but you are an inspiration to us all.

That's all for now,

One Lovely Blog Award

Wowsers!! Look what I received from not one, not two, not three, but four blogging friends! Yes, I said FOUR! Can you believe it? I know I am pretty overwhelmed. I am very honored. Thank you to Brenda, Liz, Carla, and Deneen. You don't know how much I appreciate this award. I will display it proudly.

**OK, an update-now I have FIVE blogging friends that have sent me this award. Add Iona to that list. Thank you so very much everyone!

Now, as part of this award, I need to:
  1. Accept the award, post it on your blog with the name of the person who gave you the award. Be sure to link their blog so people can visit them!!
  2. Pass the award to 15 other blogs you've newly discovered. Remember to post to their blog to let them know they've received the award!
Here is my list of blogs that I have passed the award on to (maybe not 15, but you really need to visit these gals, too, as they are either great artists, great writers, or a combination of both!) These are listed in no particular order.

Antionette
Melanie
Doresa
Tiffany
Nona
Amy
Kim
Rhonda
Jennifer

OK, the list needs to end for now. I NEED to head to bed. Once again, it has been a crazy week at work. I was on afternoons this week, then had to double back and work days today. That means, I get home a little after midnight and then have to be up, ready, and out the door at 4:45 the next morning. Yikes, it's amazing I am still awake.

We did have a wonderfully relaxing evening, though. We had pudgy pies for supper. We burned the huge pile of sticks that has been accumulating in our fire pit, so, being the multi-tasker that I am, I figured we'd make good use of the fire and make our supper out there. Kinda like camping in our own yard :) Where was my camera?? Sometimes I wonder how we end up with any photos for in our scrapbooks!?!

The Lemonade Stand Blog Award

How cool is this?? I received my very first blog award - The Lemonade Stand Award - from Brenda. Whoo Hoo! I really feel honored receiving an award from such a great artist. If you have not visited her blog, you should. Thank you, Brenda!

Here's how this award works...
  • comment on this blog
  • cut and paste the award logo and use it on your own blog
  • nominate 5 to 10 blogs that show great attitude and gratitude
  • link your nominees within your blog post
  • comment on their blogs to let them know they received the award
I am passing The Lemonade Stand Award on to:

1. Tiffany is such a great artist and I get a lot of my inspiration from her!

2. Aaron is also a great artist plus she has some wonderful templates she sells and the profits all go to Operation Smile.

3. Holly is a sister consultant of mine. I just love her story telling (I just wish I could write half as good as she does) PLUS she's a great artist!

4. Jena although I don't believe we have ever met in person, I feel as though I know her. With 4 young children, she always has a story to tell-and she's creative, too!

5. Patti is a downline of mine and a creative gal, too. She also has the gift of writing-it is always interesting to read what she writes...is there a class where I can learn this??

You can click on their names to visit their blogs. I bet you will enjoy them as much as I do.

Thank you again, Brenda for giving me this award. I feel so special :)
