Recycling at it's finest!

Looky what I created yesterday!  Yep, I was going to throw this tin away (yeah, it came with cookies in it) but then I wondered what I could do with it.

Add a little paper, ribbon and some flowers and viola!  An adorable candy container!

I love creating something out of nothing!

I have an idea...show me what you've created out of something "recycled" and I'll post your projects on my blog.  Who knows, I might just even throw in some blog candy for the participants!  Did you hear me??  I said I was going to give away goodies, so get creating and email me your photos!

CELLAR DWELLER'S DREAM

Elaine K...send me your snail mail address and I will be sending out a prize package to you worth millions...ok, maybe not millions, but lots!  :)

I have had so much fun with this little contest and now I have visions of how to decorate the wall leading downstairs.  I see an Uppercase Living 'something' there - is anyone having a party in the near future?  I'd order from you.  Once I'm all moved in, you are all invited over for a fun scrapping day!  I'd love it!!

Now, I also have some more artwork to show you today.  Katie's demo board swap is done using the Wings Creative Basics paper pack.

Didn't she do a great job?

March Madness - Tammy Style

The on-going debate about a new name for my new scrapping space downstairs has begun.  I have posted it here, sent it out in my newsletter, and also had it on Facebook.  My niece, Erica, thought I should make the decision using a bracket - in honor of March Madness.  After giving it a little thought, I thought that was a brilliant idea, but of course, I had to make a layout and do it "Tammy Style"!

I made my bracket (a real simple style - no round robins or anything like that), put it down on paper (in a scrappy style), and the voting will begin today.  Each day from now until March 30th we will vote on the next round.  On March 31st, I will announce the winning name for my scrap room.  How exciting is that.  You can vote by leaving a comment here, sending me an email, Facebooking me, calling or texting me.  Please, one vote per person per day.

Today's vote is between (so you will vote and give me the 3 choices)
Scrappin Cellar OR Scrap Happy
Creation Station OR Scrap Studio
Scrappin' Down Under Studio OR Paper Paradise
Cellar Dweller's Dream has a Bye so will automatically move on to the next round

I can't wait to hear from you!  Thanks for your help in this fun little project!

Wings Artwork

OK, it's time to get back to some artwork.  Today's comes from my friend, Rachel.  She did an AWESOME job using the Wings Paper Pack and came up with some great artwork.  I'm sure you'll agree!

See, I told you so!

Now, if you read this post, you know I am trying to come up with a name for my scrapping space downstairs in my new home.  I have already got a lot of ideas and have it narrowed down to about 5 of them, but if you come up with something creative, send it my way.  I have not made my final decision yet.  Just shoot me an email or leave a comment here.  All names will be considered.  Oh yeah, thanks in advance for the help!

I've got a contest for you!

Yep, you could win a pile of prizes!

I put it out in my newsletter yesterday, so now I will include my faithful blog readers.  I am in the process of moving (yes, my new place has a wonderful big space downstairs for all my scrapping stuff-one of the first requirements!)  I need a name for my new scrapping space.  I would love to have you help me out with that.  Leave a comment, send me an email, or give me a call with your suggestions.  The person that comes up with the winning name will win a pile of goodies from me!  I'm not telling what it will be - it'll be a surprise!

If more than one person comes up with the same name, the person that tells it to me first will win the prize - so hurry and get your ideas to me!  I can't wait to hear what you come up  with!  I can already envision where the name will go - I think I'll have to order something cute from Uppercase Living...Hmmm, bring on the suggestions!

Our vacation in a nutshell and my reveal...

I am going to show you our entire vacation in a nutshell.  Lots of photos for you, I  just hope I don't bore you to death with them.  I take so many pictures when I'm on vacation-you just never know when one of them is going to turn out to be your favorite!  I have a couple of them from this trip.

Let's get started.  Our cruise left from Jacksonville, Florida.  We even had to go under this big bridge (I thought for a minute there that we weren't going to fit!

Then it was off to Key West.  We had to go to the Southernmost Point in the Continental United States (of course).  Then it was off to South Beach (the southernmost beach, too!)  It was a gorgeous day that day, but we had to cut it short as we had to be back on the boat by 2:30 that afternoon.

Remember I said talked about a favorite photo?  Well this one is one of them, and I even took it with my phone!  Can you believe that?

The next port was Nassau, Bahamas.  Here is our "parking spot" that we were backing into.  How would you like to back that big boat up?  I actually learned a lot on this cruise.  I was one of only a dozen people on board that got to take a "Behind the Fun" tour.  We were able to go to all those places on a ship that passengers are not allowed.  I learned all sorts of interesting information.  I LOVED that tour!  It was something new they were trying out, so we got to give them all sorts of feedback about it, too.  There were no cameras allowed on that tour or I would have had hundreds more pictures!  LOL!

Ready for the big surprise?  Here I am getting ready to do something I have been wanting to do for years!

If you haven't guessed yet, I went para-sailing!  I absolutely loved it and wasn't even scared once I decided to go for it!  I would do this again in a heartbeat!  Yep, that really is me up  there!

Here is a photo of us all dressed up out on our balcony one night before we left for dinner.

This is just one of the beautiful sunsets we saw off our balcony.  If you ever decide to cruise, I do suggest getting a balcony.  The little bit extra you pay is well worth it!

OK, that about does it for our trip.  I know, a long post, but hopefully one worth looking at.  I never tire of the scenic views!  I could have shown you about 400 more pictures, but I won't do that to you :)

For you girls that guessed correctly that I went Para-sailing, you will be getting something in your mailboxes sometime soon (probably not this week, though :)  Thanks for playing along with me!

I can hardly wait to scrapbook all these pictures I took!  Since I have a couple more vacations planned this year, I will probably do them in Studio J.  Stay tuned for some photos of layouts I have done that way.  If you haven't tried it, maybe you need to.  I will never give up my traditional scrapbooking, but also love the Studio scrapbooking.
