The last of the Art Day Techniques and Cards

Today brings us the last of the Art Day Techniques and Cards.  I will be showing you more come August when we have another Art Day.  Until then, if you have any questions about any of the techniques you've seen or any you haven't seen yet but have always wondered how to do, just let me know and I'll see what I can come up with.

First up was Jen showing us how to make Jumbo Scallops.
Here is her card using the new Cherry-O papers.
And last but certainly not least we had Liz showing us how to make some different paper flowers.
Here is her card.  I just love those flowers.  If you click on this link it will bring you back to another of my blog posts showing another way to create them.
Remember, I am having an Open House tomorrow.  I would love to see you there.  Bring whatever project you are working on along with you.  I will also have a Make & Take for you to put together.  Pick up your copy of the new Idea Book and Catalog.  Stop and shop or Stay and crop!  Just let me know if you will be coming so I have an idea of how many project to prep.  See you tomorrow!

Open House and Technique Cards

Have you seen the new Idea Book and Catalog yet?  If not, you better stop over to my house on Saturday, May 8th to get your very own copy!  I am having an Open House/Open Crop starting at 10:00 am for anyone that wants to stop over.  Stop and shop or stay and crop!  Bring your own projects to work on, but I will also have a Make & Take for you to put together!

And now for more of our Art Day Techniques and cards.  Lynn H. showed us how to make handmade Dew Drops.
Look at the cute little hedgehog on this card.  You will be seeing more of him in July as he is part of the July Stamp of the Month "Happy Forever."
Next  Nicole showed us how to use Shrinky Dinks.
And the card she prepped for us to make...

Continuing with Art Day Techniques and Cards

Today we will continue on with our Art Day Techniques and Cards.

The first of our techniques was Lynn B.  She never ceases to amaze me with her art work.
Making paper ruffles has been on my to-do list for quite some time but I was just a little intimidated by it.  Now that I know how to do it, you just might be seeing even more of it in my artwork!  Thank Lynn!
Next was Heather showing us how to use the new Splendor Designer Brads.
Here is the card she had us make with those cute little brads.

More Art Day Techniques and Cards

As promised, I will continue with the showing of our Art Day Techniques and cards.

First up is Sheri with her "over-achiever" technique card that was double sided.

and here is the card we created using her technique.  I am not as good as her at that, Sheri is the Queen of Crosshatching even though she was a little "under the weather" on Sunday.
Next up was Ann.
She showed us how to do some Faux Stitching.  Here is the card she had us create.

Art Day Techniques and cards

Today I have some more Art Day techniques and cards to show you.  I will show you a couple per day all week!  I had a fabulous time meeting up with the girls for our Art Day.  We always have fun creating and catching up with each other.  We certainly don't get together often enough!  Afterwards we went out to Old Chicago to eat!  Wow, that was good...but I know I ate too much, I was miserable on the ride home.

Anyway...on with the art.
and the card that we made using Kate's Baby Wipe Technique (or if you click on the Art & Soul widget on the left side of my blog and watch the Puddle Pad episode, it's the same thing).
Next up Rachel showed us how to do Glitter Dots
and just look at the adorable monochromatic card we made using the glitter dots

Faux Alligator Technique

Today I am off to Apple Valley for Art Day!  It will be a day filled with fellow consultants all sharing techniques and new product tips.

We each have to create a 6x6 technique card explaining how to do our particular technique or new product tips.  Since we've been doing this for quite a while now, it is getting harder and harder to come up with new techniques.  That just adds to the fun and excitement.  My technique this time around is Faux Alligator Print and here is my technique card (remember to click on the photos to see them better).

You can see another sample of this technique in this post a few days ago, too (remember those paper wallets I made?)
Then we each prep a card for everyone to create using that technique.  This card uses that technique along with the new You're Great stamp set.

Stay tuned in the next couple of days for photos of each of the new things I learn today.
