I get to carry the torch

for Amber Ink, that is!  Imagine my surprise when I returned home from my trip to Mexico to find several emails from my new friends over at Amber Ink requesting a reply to their invitation to join their Design Team for the next month.  Wow!  My very first Design Team (can you tell I am excited?)  My friend Jen Lee had nominated me...now if you know Jen, that is awesome in itself because she is an AMAZING artist herself!

Well, that very night that I returned home from vacation, I had to do a little research to find out if this was even something I was capable of!  I am always up for a challenge, but I do not want to disappoint, either.  As you can see, I did accept.  The problem was that I was sworn to secrecy until today.  I couldn't tell anyone - and if you know me, you know its awful hard for me to keep my mouth shut about anything :) 

Tomorrow you will get to see my very first project using the Amber Ink products.  Make sure you stop back to see what I have created - I am really stepping outside my box here, everyone.  I will be using digi paper and stamps for the first time in my life!  I am excited to try something new.

A Lucky layout

and some cards, too!  Today's artwork comes from my friend Jen Z.  She is an amazing artist and I fell in love with her layout so much, that my club girls are going to be creating layouts just like it at Club today!

Kiss Me, I'm Irish

Ok, maybe I'm not Irish, but you can kiss me anyway...

Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone!  I saw this little Care Bear image for St. Patrick's Day and I couldn't help but to save it and share it with you.  It reminds me of my Grandma.  Prior to her stroke, she used to sew little Care Bears (the first time around that they were popular).  I have a couple of them myself, so this one really made me smile.  It also reminded me of my angel-cousin Kara.  Her nickname was Kara-bear.  I miss you Kara-give my kids an extra hug up there, will you :)

Sorry, I've been away from my blog for so long.  First of all, I was in Mexico for a week, and now I have been pretty busy house hunting and looking at moving.  Please bear with me through all this and I promise, I will be back to my creating self!

I have some exciting news to share with you on Monday, so stay tuned for that...I can't spill the beans before then, so don't even try to get it out of me :)

Sensational Season-March 2011 Stamp of the Month

The March Stamp of the Month, Sensational Season, is a very cute set.  It is a must for all those Easter-and not so Easter-paper crafting needs.

Beach Album

Here is the last of the projects I created on the cruise.

It's a fun Beach Album.  The letters are covered with a fun product called Mud Puddles.  It's like wet sand that you spread on the letters like frosting and then let it dry.  It's pretty fun to work with.  I can't wait to get some pictures added to this album, too!

I am off today for a day of scrapbooking with my girlfriends!  I can't wait!
