A Topstitch Easel Card

Here is a cute little card I made using the Topstitch papers and the Smiles stamp set. It is an easel card. They are really pretty easy to make. Stay tuned for a tutorial on how to make them. I am working on that-next week I will post the directions for you. (At least I hope by next week I am feeling better-I have a nasty cold that has had me out of commission for 2 days!)

Strength and Courage

This morning I will show you a cute little notebook that I altered. It was a quick 5 minute project that I made yesterday morning as a last-minute decision. Yesterday was a very long day - the first of what is sure to be many more to come. You see, I had to be someplace I really didn't want to be and I also knew that I might want to be taking a few little notes. As it turned out, I took quite a few notes, but it helped me...gave my hands something to do. Sorry I can't give you much more information than that, just know that it has to do with our daughter's accident. This is a little notebook that I just happened to have in my stash. We all have a stash of items that 'someday I'm gonna alter that', right?? I had picked it up for about 50 cents and put away till 'later'. Well, later finally came yesterday. It worked out perfect for what I needed. Something small to fit in my purse. I really didn't even know what I was going to put on it. I used some little scraps of Veranda paper that I had leftover from projects. Then I just used the words that I knew I would need yesterday. I just happened to have this flower stamp set (Smiles) right beside me (from a previous project that I just hadn't put away yet).

I love the way it turned out. Simple but yet, I love it! See? Projects don't have to take a lot of time! I literally made this in 5 minutes!

Hershey's Nugget Boxes

Sorry, a late posting today. We had to be out the door early this morning, so I didn't get a chance to post like I had planned. Oh well, better late than never...

Here is the project I was finishing up yesterday. I had to run to town to pick up the Hershey's nuggets. What a simple, fun project to do. You can make the box whatever size you need (so you could easily spell out whatever you wish).I made mine with the new Topstitch paper pack. I am thinking this may be a fun project for Valentine's Day...Hmmm...got me thinking...

A topnotch-Topstitch card

Alright, here is another Topstitch piece of artwork that I promised you. My demo board swap should be finished today and in the mail. I just need to finish cutting out a few things and I will be done, so it shouldn't be a problem!

Here is a fun card that I made using the fun Charmed stamp set. This set features 4 fun square shaped flower petals. I stamped one of them 4 times, cut it out and then stamped the same image in a different color on the back side. I just folded over a corner to make it look sort of like a pin wheel. How fun is that?

Tomorrow I have a fun little project to show you, but have to run to the store to pick up some Hershey's nuggets today so that I can finish the project. That is your little teaser for today *he he he*

2010 Calendar finished

I finally got my 2010 calendar finished up...I know, it's only the 6th day of January, right?? It has been sitting there for a couple of months now just needing a couple more months to be done and then the holidays hit and I didn't finish it. Well, between me and my husband being tired of looking at the December 2009 page, I finally got it done!

Lots of pictures for you to look at here...sorry! As always, feel free to click on any of them to see a close-up.

Some of these pages are my own designs and some are scraplifted from my "Sista's" ~ thanks ladies!

For the most part, I plan to put pictures on the months as we go...do I really need to go out in the cold and the snow for January's pictures?? I mean really, this morning it was only -5 degrees Farenheit so it was really quite warm, but come on... As you can see, in June my hubby and I will be celebrating 25 years of marriage-hard to believe. I will have to get a good picture of us together then.

A Topstitch layout

Here is a layout I made using the new Topstitch paper pack. It also uses the Charmed, Smiles, and PosterBoard Alpha Stamp Sets and the new Soft Suede Pinwheels.I just love this new paper pack-so far it is one of my favorites...or did I say that about the Veranda pack? You see, as I start using these papers, I love them all!

Stay tuned for more artwork featuring this paper pack (I have a swap due soon so I need to get this artwork done :)

Some Studio J layouts

Here are some Studio J layouts that I have done. I know I have told you all about Studio J already, trust me, when you finally get a chance to use it, it will be totally worth the wait!I really enjoy making these layouts online. It is soooo easy. Choosing your photos is probably the toughest part. Once you get that done, it only takes a very short time to actually design your layout. I can do one in about a 1/2 hour now. There is a little bit of a learning curve, but really, it is easy.Feel free to click on any of these photos to see more detail.I was also impressed with how quickly I received these. I ordered them on a Monday and I had them in my hands on Friday. Now that's super fast service! The packaging was also top-notch. There will be no bent pages!

Now, off to clean this house. We've been so busy with the holidays, it's time to do a little cleaning.
