More creations from Regionals in Minneapolis

Here are the last of the creations from Regional Celebration in Minneapolis. This one is a banner made from one of our new card kits. You can actually make 2 of these from one card kit. Isn't is just adorable? The directions had us make it say 'Joyful' but I changed mine up to say 'Peace' instead. See how easy it is to make something your own? Here is a little project we created-so quick and easy. It is a brand new product that is not even available until January 1st in the next new idea book. What a cute little My Creations Journal. It has a pocket on the front of it so you can just slip in a photo or whatever you decide to create. I love it!Founder and CEO of Close To My Heart, Jeanette Lynton lead us in this creative session. During that time, she did a little Q & A time with us. We were able to ask any questions we wanted to. How interesting! Here is a photo of my friends Terri, Lynn, and myself with Jeanette. It is always so amazing to talk to this woman. She really does have our best interests in mind with everything she does. She has a heart of gold and acts on all her BHAGs. What is a BHAG you ask? Well, it is a Big Hairy Audacious Goal! That is how this company got started in the first place!This is me with Kristine and Brian from Corporate. Kristine is a spitfire that is always fun to listen to. She could talk about anything under the sun and make it fun! Brian is from our amazing IT department. He is the man making our Studio J happen. I cna't wait to share more details about that with you when it goes live. Heck, I can't wait until I get to try it out first and let you know how it goes. It is going to be a fabulous online scrapbooking tool for us!Happy Scrappin'

Oh this Wisconsin weather...

I really do like living in Wisconsin-all the different seasons and all-but maybe I would like to actually have all the seasons.

Let me explain a little...Here are a couple of pictures from last Thursday evening. The leaves are really starting to turn colors. I love Fall! It is my favorite season. I was on my way home from my niece's volleyball game (they won again-Congratulations Sam!) and had the camera with me, so I decided to stop and snap a couple of pictures.

Then yesterday morning I woke up to this...The sun melted most of it away by evening, but still...

I know, the weatherman has been telling us this was coming, but I guess I just didn't want to hear him so I ignored it! Now he is telling us that we could get up to 5 inches of this icky white stuff tomorrow! Yuck! It is too early for this kind of weather. I want my nice fall weather back!

Here are just some of the cards we created at Regionals last weekend in Minneapolis. I'll tell you what...Close To My Heart spoils us rotten whenever we go to any corporate events. Layouts from the CTMH Regional Celebration in Minneapolis, MN

Wow! What a whirlwind of a weekend. I was in Minneapolis, MN for the Close To My Heart Regional Celebration. I am always so excited to attend these events. I'm not sure if it's the learning, friendships, creating artwork, meeting Jeanette and her staff...the list goes on and on! I LOVE IT!

In the next couple of days, I'll be sharing some of the artwork we created while there. Here are a couple of the layouts we made. This time, they told us in advance what size pictures to bring and what colors would work with them. I just happened to have some of the cutest baby pictures of one of the cutest babies around, so I figured I would use them (I may be just a little bit partial-just so you know :)

I think they turned out really well. Let me know what you think. Of course, with a subject like that, how can you go wrong??

The first one uses the new Twitterpated papers. I think this might just be my favorite paper pack in the new idea book. These colors even work for boy pages.This Sweet Home paper was not my favorite, but after doing this layout-I love it! The stamp set with the houses also was not a favorite, but look at how well it worked for this page!This layout has a ton of dimension. I tried to show that with this photo.As always, you can click on the photos to see more detail if you want to.

some more Creative Basics Jingle artwork

Here is Shelly's version of the Jingle Creative Basics artwork. Once again, it's not just for making cards! I just love this set of artwork.I will have to use these ideas for myself using some other papers, too. Remember, any of the artwork you see here does not have to be done exactly like it. Use the parts you really like or change it up to fit your needs (so that you can use what you have-you don't always have to order everything to make it exactly alike). I can start out with the intent of copying somebody's artwork, but it usually doesn't turn out exactly alike anyway. Either I don't have the same stamp set or embellishments OR I just don't have the same talent to make it the same. That's ok, we are all different and that is part of the beauty of sharing our talents!

More Jingle artwork

Heather also used the new Jingle paper pack. Isn't it amazing how 2 people can use the same papers and come up with totally different artwork? That is the beauty of scrapbooking and cardmaking. Everyone has different ideas and talents. There is no right or wrong-it is however you want it to be!Great work, Heather!

Sweet Home artwork

Here is the artwork done by Liz using the new Sweet Home paper pack.This was not one of my favorite paper packs in the new idea book, however, after using it a bit, I have come to really like it. That happens to me a lot. You really need to see the paper in person (the idea book just does not do it justice) and you need to see artwork done with it. That always gets me thinking of other ways to use it.
