Our Vegas weekend

Oh my gosh...where to start?  We made it home safely last night from our weekend trip to Vegas.  What a rude awakening with the temperature differences!  It was in the mid 60's and sunny while we were in Vegas and we came home to about 9 degrees and a little wind last night.  Brrr!  Of course, we should be happy that it had warmed up that much, we heard that it was -23 degrees while we were gone.  I certainly did not miss that!

One of our first stops while in Vegas was at the Pawn Stars place.  Do you watch that show on TV?  We do and just had to stop in to check the place out.  It was pretty fun!
On Friday, we drove out to Hoover Dam again.  We have been there several times, but they had the new bridge completed since the last time we were out there, so we had to go see it.  What an amazing sight!  Here are a few pics of the new bridge.  They built a walkway on the side so you can walk out and view Hoover Dam from the other side!  Pretty amazing.  I love the view with the shadow of the bridge in it!
Then on our drive back to the city, we saw a sign for a cheap helicopter ride to see the Dam.  I had never been up in a helicopter before and have wanted to, so I did it!  Another amazing experience.  Here are some photos of that flight.

*So sorry for the glare off the helicopter windows, but the sunshine and such just didn't help (although I am NOT complaining).  We weren't up there long, so I did not have a lot of chance to do any better.  Hey, be lucky I got any at all :)

I have a lot more photos to share with you, but I guess I better save some for tomorrow.  This post is getting pretty long as it is.  Check back tomorrow for the rest of our vacation...

Happy Scrappin'
