Beautiful flowers and some more Mistletoe artwork

Just look at the gorgeous flowers that arrived at my doorstep yesterday!   We have some awesome friends that knew we were going to have a rough day and just wanted to make it a little brighter.  Thank you so much to Teresa and Will!  I am so fortunate to have so many friends and family as my support system.  Without all of you, I don't know what I would do...THANK YOU ALL!
Then, I guess it's on to some cards made with the new Mistletoe paper pack.  I ho9pe you enjoy them!

Our 1st Club layout of the Season and Happy Birthday, Tony!

I just love when my scrapbooking club starts up again in the fall.  I have missed getting together with my girls for a fun day of scrapping.  Yesterday was the day we started back up!

Here is the layout that I designed for them to create.  It uses the new Olivia paper pack.  I just love this paper - it has a fun fresh fall look to it.  See that orangey color?  That is one of our new colors "Sunset."    I used the pattern "Raise the Curtain" from the new how-to book "Magic."  I just love this new book as it gives you directions on how to make each layout interactive!
Here is the interactive part on this one.  Here is a picture of Tyler...now when you pull the tab...
there is room for another photo or some journaling (which I have not done yet...still looking for the right words to use here).
I used Bamboo cardstock for my base pages.  If you look closely, it almost looks like patterned paper.  How did I do that?  Well let me tell you...it is easy, peasy!  Just take your bamboo ink pad and lay it flat on your cardstock and rub it around a little.  See, I told you it was easy.  This technique works with any color cardstock and the coordinating color of ink.
Now, on to something off topic.  I need to wish my son a Happy Birthday today.  He would have been 25 years old today.  It is also the 2nd anniversary of losing him.  It is a tough day for me, but I will make it through.  I have the support of lots of friends and family to help carry me through.  Thank you to everyone for your support!

Mistletoe Magic

The time has finally come to show you some artwork using products from the brand new Autumn/Winter Idea Book.

This layout was made using a pattern out of the new how-to book "Magic."  It is called "Backstage."  I used the Mistletoe paper pack on this one.
I also used the new Dimensional Elements Ornaments.  I love that these are designed to be layered together.  I colored each layer a different color to add to the effect.
I also used the new Mistletoe Accents.  Looking at the photo above, the brad holding the ornament on the page is also included in the Mistletoe Accents.
Don't you just love those poinsettia flowers?
Stay tuned and I will show you some of the cards I have made using the Mistletoe papers.

I am so stinkin' excited because tomorrow my scrapbook club is starting up again.  We get together once a month and they get to create a layout I have designed just for them.  In return they order $20 in Close To My Heart product of their choice.  Also, each month a different member is chosen to be the 'hostess' and she gets all the hostess benefits.  If you have an interest in this club, let me know...it is not too late for you to join!  I can even do a long-distance version for you if you need me to.  Contact me for more details or to sign up!

Here are the cards that my friend Rachel made using this awesome new stamp set.   Scroll down to the last post to see the picture of the stamp set and her great layout if you haven't already.
Look at the cool little box she made, too.

A Thriller layout

Talk about being absent!?!?  I have been so busy, it isn't even funny.  When are things going to slow down?  Don't get me wrong, I'd rather be busy than wondering what to do, but this has been crazy!

Anyway...

Have you seen the new September Stamp of the Month, Thriller?  If not, here it is.

How about seeing some artwork using this fun new set?  My friend Rachel made this awesome layout using the new Hooligan's Paper Pack.  Not only does this pack have black in it, but 4 of our new colors - Gypsy (purple), Lagoon (blue), Pear (green), and Sunset (orange).
Rachel also used some of the new colored sparkles on her layout.  Don't you just love them?
When I first saw this set, I wasn't so sure if I liked it or not, but after seeing artwork...I love it!
