Home decorating CTMH style

I got a great email the other day from my friend and customer, Marsha.  She wanted to show me the project she had just completed.  I loved it so much I had to ask if it was ok to share it with all of you.
Her niece had found this 6 pane window on a garage sale for $2. The glass was still in it and it had been painted white (what wasn't chipped off anyway).  It was nasty dirty, but after cleaning it up, sanding it (so it looks like it is supposed to be distressed rather than just chipped up), and sealing it, it looked much better. She measured the openings and used CTMH papers to put behind the glass with the photos.
Doesn't it look great?!?   I told you so!  And her great-nephew is pretty darn cute, too!  This had started out to be a gift, but after seeing the finished project, her niece decided to keep it.  I can certainly understand that, I would have had a hard time giving it up, too!

Thank you for sharing, Marsha...and keep on showing me those great projects!

Happy Scrappin'

  2. Tammy, what an honor it is to have you showcase a project I did! I'm nowhere NEARLY as talented as you are when it comes to this stuff, but my niece showed me the link she found where someone had done a similar project and my niece had found the window frame, and she wanted us to re-create it with her son's photos, so I went right to my CTMH papers and she picked this set out and it was SO EASY to put everything together because all the papers coordinate. They were perfect with the very shabby (not yet chic) frame. You are an inspiration to us all, and the fact that you liked my project enough to show it here makes me really proud. Thank you!

  3. You are so very welcome, Marsha! It was great and I happen to know that you have inspired a 4H project for the fair. Hopefully I will get pictures of that one, too to be able to show everyone!
