A Paper Purse

Here is my latest creation...a paper purse. I saw these while blog hopping and thought I would make some up for my nieces for their Easter baskets. You can find the pattern here. They really were much easier to make than I was anticipating. I love how they turned out!Just look at the little pocket on the outside. It is the perfect size for holding money or a gift card or something. I used a little magnet to hold the pocket shut. Please post a link or send me a picture if you make any of these little purses. I love to see what others do with a project.

I love that our beautiful Spring weather is here! I have been out walking each day. I've been doing 2 miles in about 30 minutes. Now before you 'in shape' people criticize me, I have not done much of any physical activity since last fall! Well, yesterday I decided to walk to a girlfriend's house to deliver an order for her. Yikes! It was further than I had anticipated (it doesn't seem that far in a car!!) I did it, though! It ended up being a little over a 4 mile walk. Good for me! Once I got up that big hill on the way back, it wasn't bad at all.

How is your activity level? Leave me a comment and let me know what you have been up to.

Happy Scrappin'

  1. The purse is adorable. Congratulations on your new excercise routine. Four miles with a hill sounds brutal.

  2. Thanks Lori! It was brutal while I was walking it, but once I got up that hill, and once I got done, it sure felt good!

  3. I love the purse...had I seen it earlier (my fault!) I would have made it for my niece for Easter. Oh, well...maybe next year! I love that your 'sista' made hers into overalls!!!
