Scrap & Stamp event

What a fun day I had yesterday at the Cameron Boy Scout's Stamp and Scrap event. There weren't that many people there (I'm guessing they were all out enjoying the nice weekend we finally had). I had a wonderful time with the ones that were there. I think we all need to take the time to have a day to do the things we love. It is actually very good for us! Ladies, make sure you tell your husbands how therapeutic it really is!!This is the Make & Take card I had for the ladies to make. It was a very simple card, but I think a few of them really learned a new trick or two. For the scrapbookers that always have 12x12 cardstock, it really is a perfect sized card. It is a 6x6 folded in half to make a 3x6 card. The beauty of this size is that you get 4 cards out of a single sheet of cardstock and that it will fit in a standard small size business type envelope.Oh, did I say this was for the ladies?? We even got a couple of the male scout leaders to sit down and make a card (we thought the sentiment should have said "I'm sorry" for them save and give to their wives when the need arose :) We told them how easy it really is. In about 5 minutes time, they had their cards made. Didn't they do a great job? They even got a little creative and mixed it up a bit! I was VERY impressed!I really enjoyed catching up with my "sistas" Bobbi Jo and Deanna. Here is Bobbi Jo showing off a beautiful page she was making. Alright, maybe this is a swap spoiler for my Super Sassy Swapping Sista's...This is Bobbi Jo's fabulous tote. It is made to fit around an ice cream pail. Lori N. made these for her roommates when we went to Regionals in Minneapolis...and why wasn't I in their room? It is great! Maybe I can talk her into making one for me, too!?! I would even be willing to pay her for it as I am not much of a sewer. (OK, after typing that word, I really had to think about it...is "sewer" spelled right? I'm not talking about a septic system here, I'm talking about a person that sews!)Today was going to be a catch-up day for me, but I have managed to not get much of anything done. We did have friends stop over to visit and I sure enjoyed that, though. Their girls even took the horse out to ride him a little. That was really nice.

Happy Scrappin'
